With only 48 hours to go in our campaign, and only 40% towards our goal, it doesn't look like we're going to pull this one off.

But fret not! We will continue the campaign all the way to November, we'll just keep doing it in our trademark, low-budget, out of pocket, Timmy's braces can wait another year style.

We are tremendously grateful to you for stepping up for the cause, and we'll find a way to say thanks -- we might design the membership certificates anyway and email one to each of you, or we might be able to thank you in our book:

Great good soldiers of the Canada Party, hear us!

Just a quick note of thanks for supporting our campaign! We are at the halfway mark, and nearly one-third funded. The media grows -- CNN, CBC, Global, blogs-a-plenty, local news throughout the US and Canada, and a feature on Germany's Official News, which we assume is not at all scary. 

We have also signed a book deal with Douglas & McIntyre, one of Canada's most respected publishers. It shall be called "America, but Better: The Canada Party Manifesto," and it shall be wicked awesome. It will be in US stores as well, and Homeland Security promises it will have that "new threat" smell.

What else can you do? Share this campaign. Share it like body heat in an igloo. Spread it like vegemite on your ex-girlfriend's sandwich. Pass it around like crazy at a Palin rally. If we meet our goal, we can do SO much more -- videos, campaign materials, radio spots, a website, and a bribe to Colbert to offer us an ambassadorship to ourselves, and then we'll turn it down and be all, "What are you afraid of, Stephen?" Yeah, all that stuff.
