Our goal is to make a retail ready Live DVD/CD to help the band Fly Paper help get their music out to a larger audience while on tour
Hi there friends and fans,
Fly Paper is in search of sponsors for our upcoming live CD/DVD and national tour. Our debut CD was funded mostly by friends and fans through a kickstarter.com proposal. We wanted to reach out again with the hopes of finding help with our latest project. We have already shot the video and recorded the audio for the CD/DVD, and have started the editing and mixing process. We really need your help to finish the project. The total estimated cost for the live CD/DVD and national tour to promote it are over $10,000! This breaks down as follows:
Live CD/DVD costs:
Video Shoot/Editing - $1690 Audio Tracking - $50/hr, 6 hours - $300 Audio Mixing - $30/hr, 14-28 hrs - $420-840 Audio Mastering - $700 Audio pressing 1000 CDs - $870 DVD Pressing 1000 DVDs - $1350 Song Licensing $250-500

Tour Costs:
Tour Van Rental - $2400 Gas for tour dates - $1912 (9000 miles@$4.25 a gallon average) Food for 4 for 40 days - $1200 Hotels/Campsites- $400-800 (We stay with friends and family throughout the country when we can which helps to keep these costs down)
Total minimum tour cost - $5912-6312
Tour expenses don't include our housing/living expenses at home that we still need to pay while on the road. So, we are hoping to come out ahead through sale of the CD/DVD and our other merchandise. We will be taking an extra person on the road to sell merch and document the tour. The band has $2100 in guarantees toward tour costs as of now. We have $2000 from local sponsors as well. We are also planning a tour kickoff/fundraiser for June 8th at the Old Dog Tavern in Kalamazoo, MI. We are hoping to raise $8,000-10,000 dollars between our show guarantees, the tour kickoff show, and kickstarter. Any donations we receive over our goal will be used to make tour shirts and stickers for this summer's tour. If we still have funds left after that, any left over funds will be used to offset tour costs.
If we do not reach our kickstarter goal, we will not be able to use any of the funds here, so please be as generous as you can. You make our music possible and we are thankful for your time and support.
