About this project

Wooden Robot is a premiere Los Angeles Alternative-Rock band that's been playing shows throughout the city for many years. Our freshman album Unless They're Weird, Your Kids Will Eat It has been climbing the rankings at IndieCharts.com and tracks from the album have also landed spots on the sound track for the upcoming Steelyard Pictures film The Power of Few!

Now, we want to take the next step!

We're looking to professionally print copies of our finished album to present our music to labels, publishing companies, and retail distribution. We've put a lot of ourselves into getting this far and creating this album, and now we'd like to look to you our friends, family, and fans to help take us even further!

About the band:

Consisting of Erik Jepsen (vocals, piano), Jeff Martin (bass), Dante DiRusso (drums), and co-founders Steve Banbury (lead guitar, sax) and Kyle Milner (rhythm guitar, back-up vocals), Wooden Robot has been spreading the good word of rock since 2007. Wooden Robot has played all throughout Orange County and Los Angeles, from the Coach House, to Saint Rocke, to the Whiskey.

About the Album:

The recording of Unless They're Weird, Your Kids Will Eat It was funded solely by the members of the band. We searched out professional recording facilities and recruited some of the most experienced recording engineers and producers in the music industry such as; Chad Blinman, Eric Ryan, and Tim Moore. With their help we've been able to create an album that we feel embodies all of the different styles and influences of music that each member of Wooden Robot brings to the table.

...and oh yeah, it's pretty rockin too!

Rewards:

We will begin to ship rewards in late February and March 2012 after the close of this Kickstarter Project. However... please note that if our goal of $2000 isn't reached by the end of the Project run (Feb 5th) all pledges will be canceled and no rewards can be distributed.
