Week 1 - September 5th
Last week we entered the studio to begin this new dance.
1 choreographer, 5 dancers, and an abundance of movement being tossed around the dance studio.
In order to prepare our bodies and also to bring us all into the studio mentally...first we warm up together. Then it is two and a half hours of exploration and crafting.
Tender, listening, explode, carried, react, give in, expand expand expand, be still, pulse, breath, awareness, exhaustion, exhilaration....
These are merely a few of the words that I felt during our physical work last week.
Kate is leading the search for this dance by directing us to explore specific qualities and emotional ideas while she simultaneously lets herself be led by where we might go during these explorations.
I can't wait to see where we all will go together this week!
