Hello Kickstarter Family,

I hope this message finds you well and in the best of 2012 spirits.

Last Thursday, December 29th, 2011, I received 35,000 pounds - 10,000 copies - of Great Food Starts Fresh.  It was a sight to see 21 massive pallets of books arrive in 18 wheelers and get unloaded. (Some unloaded into my storage space and about 2,000 loaded into the U-haul that I rented which are now stacked throughout my apartment.) Whew!

I am very happy to say that after 28 hours of organizing, unwrapping, signing, re-wrapping, and packaging books, 4 trips to the post office, 3 sharpie pens, 4 ink cartridges, and countless Lattes (thank you, Latte) - all of the Kickstarter books have been mailed out!!! Yay! (That said, a few of you have not sent me your mailing address—looking forward to receiving them so I can mail you your copies.)

It's been an amazing week and I am really happy with how everything turned out with the books.

Thank you all again for your support and encouragement along the way.  It's been quite a journey and I am excited about this next leg.

I am working on updating my website to have a page with upcoming events (like book signings). When it's posted, I will let you all know.

Dear amazing Kickstarter family,

I wanted to let you know that, after many weeks in the queue, my cookbook finally has a date for printing—December 13th!

I am very excited about finally having a printing date, however, unfortunately it means that (because of the time it takes to print, bind, and truck the books) I will not be able to ship your book in time for the holidays. Most likely, I will receive the shipment of books at the end of December, meaning your book will arrive at the very beginning of the Happy New Year, January, 2012. (Just in time for all your "get back into the kitchen"/cooking new year's resolutions!)

In case you had purchased the book as a holiday gift for someone, I have attached a link to a card that you can print out and give to someone (a stocking stuffer "IOU") as well as a card that you can email. Just click on the link, save the file, and you should be able to open it from there!

I hope this message finds you and yours in the best of health and spirits as you prepare for a Thanksgiving feast.

Having successfully reached my funding goal, my book is now in the queue for printing (yay!) and will soon be loaded onto a truck and delivered (10,000 copies) into my open arms! Since it's still in line for printing, this means that, unfortunately, it will not be out by Thanksgiving.

Once I get the exact date of its arrival, I will let you know! 

I'm so looking forward to sharing it with you.

We did it!!! 

Thank you for helping to make my dream come true!

I am so grateful for all of your contributions, support, time, and efforts.

It came down to the wire, but, together (thanks, Mastercard!), we reached the goal necessary to print the book.

In the next few weeks, I will send Great Food Starts Fresh off for printing and then await the arrival of 10,000 copies, delivered right to my front door!

I'll be keeping you updated along the way and once everything is set, will be contacting each of you to arrange sending out your books, etc.

We are at the 5 day countdown! It may seem like we have a lot further to go, however I know we can do it.  I mean, Rome wasn't built in a day, but they did do it in 5 days, right? YES, they did! (It's true. Really.)
