Kickstarter

Marko Martinov is a seventeen year old high school student living in Cedar Springs,  a small city in Ohio. He’s a second-generation immigrant from Romania, and something of a social recluse.

He’s also a strigoi. He should not even exist… he is half-werewolf, half vampire… something that should be impossible. His mother died giving birth to him, ravaged by the conflicting vampire and lycanthrope blood, passing both curses on to her child.

Only his guardians (his uncle and aunt) and his two best friends know his secret. Or the less than glamorous hassles that come from his mixed blood. He has nothing but loathing for the mythical--- and obscenely popular--- creatures who messed up his life before he was born. His only solace is that he's alone: he’s never even seen another werewolf or vampire in his life.

That’s about to change.

The project

I'm doing a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to print, promote and publish the Sanguine Chronicles, which I intend to make the first in an ongoing series of books. I intend to make the book available both as an E-book through amazon.com and sell paperback hardcopies as promotionals.

Where the funds will go

The funds raised will go to production costs--- editing, formatting, ISBN registry, a print run of at least 500-1000 copies, and shipping of the books. A portion of the funds raised will also go to enabling me to spend several months focusing on writing and printing the book. If I surpass my kickstarter goal I will be using the surplus to finance a trip to at least one convention, to promote and sell the book (and extra print runs of the book, as need arises.)
