About this project
FALLING UPHILL is a feature that speaks to our generation of twenty somethings going through a “quarter life crisis” - no job, no direction, unfulfilled dreams, and no place to go.
During December & January, Blue Creek Pictures, along with some of the bay area's industry pros came together to tell the story of FALLING UPHILL. Over the course of 16 days our skilled team shot over 40 locations throughout San Francisco, bringing a vivid and intimate look to one of the most beautiful cities in the US.
Now after an amazing shoot, we are raising money to complete post-production and get the movie out to theaters. The $6000 we raise will be used to complete editing, sound design, color correction, to obtain music rights & create HD tape masters.
Our goal is to enter FALLING UPHILL into film festivals around the country (Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca, etc.) and eventually obtain distribution.

SYNOPSIS When Robert’s bestfriend, Adolfo, moves out of their two-bedroom apartment, Robert asks Jenny, a girl he found on Craigslist, to be his new roommate. Now after a year of living together, he finds himself falling in love with her, but his ability to keep afloat in San Francisco is coming to an end. With a lame job and not enough income, he has no choice but to move back with his parents in Rochester, NY. With only three days until his flight home, Robert struggles to tell Jenny his true feelings and to determine what direction his life is headed.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, and raised in Rochester, NY, Richard grew up with a love for storytelling and the collaborative process of filmmaking.
He currently works as a Producer/ Line Producer for feature films, commercials, and television. His recent credits include The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry, La Mission, All About Evil, After, Ryan & Sean’s Not So Excellent Adventure, The Chateau Meroux and The Empty. He has studied filmmaking formally at Visual Studies (Rochester, NY), The International Film and Television Workshops (Rockport, ME), Wright State University (Dayton, OH), and has received his B.F.A. in motion picture production from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Richard is currently working with Adrien Brody on his directorial debut, MudJumper.
