Hello Beepers, Blippers, Chippers, Friends, Family, Twitter family, Facebookers, vintage computer and video game console lovers & everyone dropping by!
We are taking our live 8 bit chip music show across the country, we're calling it "the Disko Apocalypse Tour!" Our goal for this project is just to make ends meet. What that means is that we have funded most of the tour expenses ourselves, but we're coming up a bit short. In order to afford to get to our gigs we need your help!
For those of you who don't know, we make electronic music made with vintage 8 bit computers and classic video game consoles. We don't sample video games, we make our own original music using the sound chips of each device! So if you can imagine dancing in a club to brand new chipmusic made on 1980s Game Boys and Commodore 64s, then you're our backer! We want to share our new music with you by going on tour!

8 Bit Weapon is Seth & Michelle (AKA ComputeHer). 8 Bit Weapon has performed across two continents with an arsenal of 8 bit weapons, which include a Commodore 64 and 128, Apple II C&E, a couple Nintendo Gameboy classics, Amiga 500 & 1200, Nintendo N.E.S., Intellivision synthesizer, Atari 2600, Speak n Spell & Speak n Music, some hybrid lo-fi acoustic-electric drums, and an assortment of other vintage and toy synthesizers.
Inspired by classic videogame soundtracks and electronic music from the 70s and 80s, 8 Bit Weapon delivers a sound that is as unique as it is original. Clever melodies, nostalgic atmosphere, and energetic beats create a decidedly modern sound while maintaining a fun, lo-tech aesthetic.
Michelle Mitchell is ComputeHer, a one woman wall of lofi-sound! Michelle creates her unique music using vintage computers and video game consoles, as well as an assortment of other fun synths & drum machines. When she isn't blasting bits with her beats, she can be found in her garden where she tends the beets you can eat!
Michelle is also a member of the band 8 Bit Weapon and will performing a double shift on this summer's "Disko Apocalypse Tour 2010". She will be performing a solo music set as ComputeHer, then perform another set as half of 8 Bit Weapon!
