About this Project

With the money you are donating to this project you will help bring my book FATE to life. Fate is a fantasy genre book that has similar traits to that of Cirque Du Freak series written by Darren Shan and The Hunger Games series written by Suzanne Collins. The books I have mentioned have a main character similar to my own; each main character struggling to figure out where they belong. Each goes through various trials that will decide where the future of the world will end up.

About the Book

Nicholas Hannon is a seventeen-year old boy who is living in a world destroyed by war. He is trying to protect several children that have lost everything and at the same time looking for the reason he was born into this broken world. While searching for any means of survival, Nicholas runs into a girl named Michelle Adams. The run in with this girl starts to change Nicholas’s perception of the world.

Shortly after developing feelings for Michelle, Nicholas is confronted by a character known as Fate. Fate, a dark mysterious masked man that informs Nicholas that he can save the world, but at a cost that he may not be willing to pay. The cost, Nicholas must kill the one person he cares for the most. This news sends Nicholas’s world into a tailspin as he fights to save Michelle from her fate.

Fate is a world that has many different faces throughout the book. The world goes through battles involving sword and gun wielding as well as super powered humans. The reader will follow Nicholas to the brink of insanity and see if he will make the ultimate choice, killing his one true love to save the world or let the world be doomed.

If this Kickstarter campaign reaches the minimum, then the publisher package that I have chosen has 10 book signings and a press release to 200 media outlets. The Kickstarter will be officially on, and if you're a backer, you will get the rewards you chose. I have also added 12 additional cities the book-signing list to help promote retail sales through out the states that will be added if we exceed our mark. If this Kickstarter doesn't reach the minimum, none of the backers will be charged and I will unfortunately have to try other means to publish the book.

Why kickstarter?

I enjoy holding a good book in my hand, the feel of the paper as I read and turn the pages. You can physically hand it to a person as gift or lend it to someone to read. I enjoy bookstores, I enjoy my electronics, but a good book on paper helps me get more into the story then a cold hard screen. I of course will have an eBook version for the high tech crowd even though I am not a high tech person. With Kickstarter I am hoping to break into the market without a publisher, since most are not willing to back unknown authors.
