The New York Crimson Kings Drum, Fife & Bugle Corps needs your help to record their first album.

Founded in the 1950s, The New York Crimson Kings Drum, Fife & Bugle Corps is dedicated to youth development through music and performing arts education. 

About 3 years ago, the activity had dwindled down to the point in which there were more instructors than members. And so we dedicated ourselves to rebuilding the corps and are now back up to about 30 members. Our members range from 7-22 years of age representing all 5 boroughs and New Jersey.

Our next important goal is to record an album. Despite the Corps' 60 year heritage, there has never been a professional recording of the Corps. We want to change that. Also, the recording will also be used to help us apply for performances that require recordings as part of our application. Two events in particular in which we need a kick-butt recording for are the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and parade at Disney World!

We would be eternally grateful if you could help us raise the funds needed to record the songs, mix, and press the CD.

    No problem. We understand. You can help by simply sharing and spreading the word about our Kickstarter campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, personal blogs, mailing lists, friends, family and whomever/wherever/however you think will help get the word out there!

    Absolutely! We have until WEDNESDAY APR 25, 11:59PM EDT to collect pledges. All additional pledges will be used for any contingent expenses that may come up during the recording and duplication process. And should there be even additional funds left over, please know we will use it towards other upcoming projects and goals for the Corps!
