This spring in Oberlin College's Heisman Fieldhouse, Solarity and RTC sponsored Fracture - a unique industrial themed multimedia experience based on large scale music, dance, and installation art. For one night, Oberlin College and Conservatory artists came together to showcase their musical and artistic talents.

4 DJs, a jazz/electro fusion septet, a hip hop dance collective, and rap vocals will all be featured on a 40 foot modular main stage designed and built by RTC and co-assembled with Solarity.

In addition, we are working with the Office of Development to make every ticket sale a donation to the scholarship fund which will simultaneously raise awareness and increase student participation on a large scale.

Fracture Photos

With custom lighting and extensive space design, Fracture was an interactive music event that celebrated the wealth of talent at Oberlin. As the third Solarity production and the second RTC collaboration, Fracture took place on a larger scale than the past two events. Both of the previous events were in the Oberlin College Science Center and with a maximum capacity of 650 people, tickets sold out quickly. The Heisman Field House allows us to achieve our goal of doubling attendance, while tripling production capacity. We are approved to use a variety of theatrical and lighting effects and with a combined force of 30+ students between RTC and Solarity, all with varying skill sets, immersive large scale design and implementation have been the focus of this production. With this larger scale come new financial hurdles. Oberlin College has provided us with some upfront support, but now we are asking you for help in order to fully realize this vision. This is an event for Oberlin students by Oberlin students and we hope that you'll want to celebrate that with us in whatever way possible.
