About this project
I'm Terry Dignon, a musician with a deep commitment to old time music. I spend most of each day practicing banjo, fiddle, and Sacred Harp, sometimes for as long as eight hours at a stretch. Since the summer of 2010, I have supported myself almost entirely by performing on fiddle and banjo and giving lessons.
By the end of April I will be recording my first album. The project will mesh traditional fiddling (from my studies with Brad Leftwich) with Lisa Alcott's great banjo musicianship. Lisa's playing is 100% her own so it is really exciting to have the privilege to do this with her. Plus I'm hoping to have a few other friends on the record!
UPDATE: By stretching the funds I plan on bringing out a second cd with Jennifer Coates (we are splitting the cost for that one 50/50.) We have been developing and performing a set of unaccompanied dual fiddle tunes that has gotten great feedback.
My expenses include

Terry Dignon is an old time fiddler and banjo player based out of Bloomington, IN, and New York City, NY.
