 Dear Friends!

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my first ever Kickstarter campaign designed to raise money for the world premiere of my newest choreographic project Electric Midwife at The Chocolate Factory Theater on June 17th- July 2nd.

All the money raised through Kickstarter will go directly to dancer, music and lighting fees as well as costume and set materials.

Let me tell you a little more about my work and this project….

My choreographic mission is to use the experience of dance, theatrical design and sound within the framework of live performance to shift the way we see, sense and understand the space around us through a timeless and rigorous investigation of form.

Electric Midwife is a highly structured, and minimalist dance piece, which uses mirrored symmetry as a single overarching choreographic design to foreground the actual dance material within the work, and simultaneously instigate a meditation around the elusive subject matters of perception and sensation. The audience for each performance will be limited to small group situated across from the centerline of the dance, allowing each viewer to really see the work's design unfold. Developed with my dancers over a yearlong process of culling our skills into a rare dance, Electric Midwife celebrates the power of art in which concept and craft reinforce each other.

Dancers are: Anna Carapetyan, Danielle Goldman, Jennifer Lafferty, Tara Lorenzen Nicole Mannarino and Marilyn Maywald. The performance will include an original sound score by Jon Moniaci, as well as lighting design by Madeline Best.

We could not do this without your support! Please consider making a donation and spreading the word about this campaign. Your gift at any  level will help us get a little closer to our fundraising goal!

Lastly, check out The Chocolate Factory Theater's website to buy tickets for the show, www.chocolatefactorytheater.org

Hope to see you there!

All my love,

Beth
