Bringing Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do back to the big screen!
A former U.S. Army soldier and an actor and indie short filmmaker and screenwriter for years, I'm taking my first foray into a feature film to showcase Jeet Kune Do (I've studied it for 17 years and have been teaching it privately for 15 years) and to help keep it's founder, Bruce Lee, continue to be even more popular now than he was before his untimely passing. May he rest in peace.
I will also create the ultimate demo reel for myself and all of the incredible talent I have involved in my film, so that we can all finally get the recognition we deserve and have worked hard for. This means that I'm producing (with your help), writing (screenplays done), directing (three scenes in the can) and starring in this film. I will also do on-location and post sound as well as post sound FX, music as well as editing, titles and final output. For the sake of art.
This campaign will show people that your dreams can be achieved if you give it everything you've got. And aspire this generation of filmmakers to realize that you can create a high quality film on a minimal budget and with a mid-level DSLR camera. If it fails, then it could force myself and others to resort to softcore porn movies on Cinemax just to pay the bills. Who would wish that on their worst enemy?
All funds will go to production costs that include but are not limited to paying the lead actors, marketing, food for days of shooting, better editing software (Premiere CS 5.5), a second camera for dual coverage while filming and to marketing materials like posters and one-sheets.
