This is the biggest news since Rivendell's inception - after 16 years, we finally have our own space! 

We are so incredibly thrilled to be settling into our new artistic home on Ridge Avenue! But after spending almost every last penny on renovations, sound equipment and seats, we find ourselves in need of funds to produce our next show: Crooked, by Catherine Trieschmann. 

In Crooked, life sucks for fourteen-year-old Laney, who struggles with a deformed back, a mother in crisis and an active imagination which she uses to write vividly violent short stories. When she befriends Maribel, the open-hearted daughter of a preacher, Laney uses her penchant for fiction to reinvent herself with actions both rebellious and desperate for acceptance. This sensitive story follows Laney as she battles her inner-demons in her quest to be loved. 

This is your chance to get intimately involved with making a theatrical production come to life.

• Want to sponsor an actor? We need $500 to pay each of them. 
• Love fashion? We need another $250 for costumes for these beautiful women. 
• How about printing scripts and buying coffee for rehearsal? We need another $150 for that. 
• Even a gift of $20 will help us cover printing costs for program inserts.

A contribution to our Kickstarter campaign will help us close the gap on producing Crooked and will help ensure that we are in our new home for the next 16 years - bringing important, thought-provoking work to the Chicago theatre scene.

Crooked runs May 17 through June 23, 2012. Performances at 8pm Thursday through Saturday, and a 3pm matinee on Saturday.
