About this project
Since you're here on my Kickstarter page, I'd imagine you know that I'm a musician and my name is Ron Pope. I've released a lot of albums over the last few years, but the driving force that keeps me wanting to create new music is the live experience...I want to visit my fans all over the world and share the music with each and every one of you. Those of you who've seen me live in the past know that I go all out every single night trying to put on the best show I can in each city I visit. That's why I'm asking for your help. I'd like to tour very aggressively throughout 2012. If I can find the funding, I'll play at least 75 shows this year. I'd like to turn this into a world tour (or at least as much of the world as I can manage with the funds I raise).
Since this is a project about me playing live, and not everyone will live somewhere that will give them access to one of my shows, I've recorded a "live in the studio" EP at Flux Studios in New York to share with fans. (I'm calling it the "Live At Flux Studios" EP, because I'm original like that.) There are seven songs on it (some new ones, some old ones, and a cover), all performed live at Flux.
The Spring release of this EP will be an exclusive reward for Kickstarter backers. I won't make it available to other fans via iTunes, physical copies, etc for a few months after the Kickstarter campaign ends.
Please note...this is NOT my new album, "Atlanta." This is a special, live in the studio EP that I created especially for this project.

This one is my personal favorite...spend two days with the band on the road in the US. Hang out with all of the guys in the band and I as we travel around playing shows. Seat in the van and hotel bed provided...you'll need to make your own way to meet up with us and then make your own way home when you're done. This will be way better than rock and roll fantasy camp, I promise. Also includes all $75 rewards

Ron Pope is a New York based songwriter and guitarist who sometimes pretends he can play the piano. Once, he wrote a song...something about the water...can't recall the title...anyway, a lot of people seemed to like it, so he wrote more songs, and people seemed to like them, too. That pretty much brings us to today.
