greetings, all! thanks for taking the time to watch and listen. i do hope you enjoyed music by youth in a roman field, art direction by kelsey henderson, production by tim frank of the foxhole, and a special appearance by our ever-loving studio dog, jeany. my name is claire, and this project is in support of my recording a collection of songs under the moniker "youth in a roman field." with the finished product, you'll hear gypsy folk and jazz-inspired sounds explored by the violin, guitar, cello, accordion, trumpet, ukelele, and various voices and percussion instruments. this is my first recording project, and is quite special as two of my dear friends who have come on board- tim frank and kelsey henderson- are also embarking on new journeys in working on it (tim as producer and kelsey as album art designer.) tim is developing a beautiful new studio in chicago called the foxhole, and kelsey creates poignant prints and paintings in minneapolis. it's been a happy melding of creative minds, but is in need of some support! in addition, a host of remarkable chicago-based musicians and friends of mine will be involved in the full realization of the pieces. this is art for the people and i'd create it no other way than with other people. please explore the rewards to your right; we'd love to have you as part of our process!
