Lidia and the Little Lightning Bugs is a colorful look into the lives of lightning bugs. It chronicles the life of Lidia the lightning bug, who teaches all the little lightning bugs how to make light.

Inspired by my childhood memories, this book is meant to unlock the imagination of the children who read it.

I NEED YOUR HELP! With Kickstarter you either reach 100% of your goal or you get nothing. I need to print and ship my books to US stores, ship internationally, and start expanding into different languages. 

Phase one of the "Lidia Project" involved proving that Lidia and the Little Lightning Bugs has an audience. I have been overwhelmed by the response of people who have made phase one successful. Lidia and the Little Lightning Bugs was retweeted by the SuperNanny; has gotten rave reviews on Amazon, Twitter, and by various blogs; and it has recieved such a warm reception at various reading and radio appearences. We have more than proved that there is a marketable audience for the book series. 

Phase two actually stems from having such a great response! I had no idea when creating this book that people in other courntries would take an interest. I have had requests from people in France and South Africa, and the countries that have taken the most interest in the book series include the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, and South Africa.  

Here's where you come in! Now that I have proven I have a marketable audience, my hope is that children all around the world will have access to the adventures of Lidia and the Little Lightning Bugs. It is a wonderful way for children to see how they can take their ordinary surroundings and turn them into creations beyond their imaginations. 

This whole process has been such an amazing adventure for me, personally. I never expected there to be such a welcoming response to the book, and I can't even imagine not being able to take Lidia to the next level simply because I do not have the resources to do so.
