Update #3: Stretch Goals
Hey guys, 85% funded so that means stretch goals! Here they are:
Clarifications:
Magical Items - Items imbued with magical effects such as: a sword with a chance to freeze its target on strike, a bow with a chance to poison, etc.
Alignment Powers - Your party will receive special powers depending on its moral alignment.
Northern Point Winter Island - A massive island on the far northern reaches of Antharion, Northern Point is a snowy winter wilderness with a few small settlements carved out amidst it's barren frosty landscape. Explore and conquer numerous ice caverns filled with Frost Liches, Snow Yetis and like monsters.
13 Level Mega Dungeon - Conquer this 13 level dungeon behemoth and you'll be duly rewarded with one of the three most powerful items known to exist in Anthation!
Monster Island Conclave - An island off the south eastern coast of Antharion solely inhabited by monsters and complete with a monster capitol city where you can interact with inhabitants just like regular NPCs.

We'll definitely tie in some important quest lines with the houses and we'll do our very best to make houses feel like more than simply storage lockers. Also, an alchemy garden is a great idea! Necromancy will play some role in the game and there will be some Necromantic spells; we'll try and extend this as far as possible because we love Necromancy!

@Chris Perhaps the undead playable character stretch goal will be able to cast undead/necro spells? I hope so as well. It'd be great if one if your characters died, they could be resurrected, but as undead using this character. Enough life to finish the fight and make it back to town to cure undead.

Nice stretch goals and hope the house isn't only a place you visit to use the storage chest, must have at least the necessary structures to use the different types of crafting which will be available.

i think that it could be very cool to have some special quests related to the house ! ghost issue, monster invasion in the basement, discover a cave or ruins under the basement and after cleaning the ruins to be able to pay a pnj worker to extend the house and add new rooms for exemple : a underground garden for alchemical ingredient, or mining area with pnj to hire for special ore, etc...
fews game offers a real housing experience with quest + extension of the building.

@Kevin, thanks for the great suggestion! @Arnaud, as far as houses go we'll probably create some small customization/decoration options to personalize them (and of course lots of containers to safely hoard your stuff, this is a key function of a house in Antharion). Getting a house in the game should be meaningful and we'll do our very best to make it feel so! Currently we don't have any plans for DLCs but it's not out of the question.

Suggestion: Put this list on the main page at the top. The chance that new backers will pledge more will be greater. And those of us who already pledged will be reminded daily why we need to up out pledges.

Cool! I hope a player house would add meaningful gameplay and not just be "the place you go when you don't feel like spending 3gp on an inn and don't care about having to walk an extra half hour to get there."

Could you please describe "Buy a house", what will be possible in the house ? stock items ? decorate ?

@David, we still plan on including alchemy. Crafting is a real possibility but depends heavily on how long certain parts of development take us.
