The Warehouse

Built in the late 1800's as a cotton storage warehouse, The Warehouse, located in Hickory, NC, was originally renovated as an artists studio. Over the years, it has transformed into a hub of local culture through art and music. In addition,  producing theme based projects that promote an environment of creativity and a rich cultural experiences.

What's the Funding For

Through the growth of The Warehouse, the need has arisen to make the facility more publicly accessible and up to local code standards for public safety. This is what the funding for this project will be used for. Our estimated cost for these upgrades to the facility are around $25,000, and we are hoping to get at least our minimum starting costs which is our funding goal of $5,000, which will get us the wheelchair ramp and entrance up fits to get us going. The upgrades include a wheelchair ramp, railing upgrades to exterior decks, exteriors doors that are code specific, and additional restrooms that are also wheelchair accessible. These upgrades are mandatory for The Warehouse to continue providing the cultural experiences it is known for. There's nothing like it in this area and to lose it would have a huge impact on our entire arts community.
