Update #4: My Chopin CD has been officially and commercially released!!!!
I am thrilled to announce that my Chopin CD has finally been commercially released by Centaur Records! The official release date was February 1, 2012. I am so grateful to all of you for your support in the early stages of this project. Now its out there for anyone to hear. I believe most of you have received copies, pre-release copies of the CD if it was within your prize bracket. I hope that you are enjoying it, and if you are, please feel free to spread the word. Centaur has been distributing it to all the major sites such as Amazon, itunes, Rhapsody, etc. and hopefully classical radio stations will be receiving it soon, so keep your ears open! Update #3: Its coming along.....
Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,
I just wanted to send out a note, letting you know that my Chopin CD is coming along, slowly but surely! The editing process is finished, and now we are in the process of mixing and mastering. Once this is done, which will probably take a few weeks, the actual CD with the music will be ready. Then I will need to figure out how I will distribute it, and what I will do for cover design and art work- still a mystery right now. But I wanted to assure you that it is definitely still in the works, and I haven't forgotten about all of you and your support!
You will get your CDs- never fear!
Happy holidays to you all, and hopefully the next post will be the announcement of the actual CD release......
In the meantime, if you are in the Hartford area, come hear me play Beethoven's "Emperor" concerto on Dec. 11th with the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra, or if you are in the NYC area, come hear me play at the Cornelia Street Cafe on December 27th. (see www.melodyfader.com for more details) and then, before you know it, the CD will be ready!

Update #2: Thank you! I have reached my goal!!!!
Dear friends, family and supporters,
I am so touched by the generosity of all of you! With the help of each of you (56 people total) I have gathered $3,500 with 16 days to spare. This is so amazing. I truly appreciate the contribution that each of you has made. Now I can focus on getting the CD ready. My current goal is to have all of the music edited by the end of September. And then I need to get the cover designed and then the whole thing produced and ready for distribution. Kickstarter is helping me to keep track of all of you, so I will be sure to get the CDs to you, and your "angel" status listed. I am inspired by all of your generosity- I would like to give, too!
Thanks again for your support, and I am really looking forward to sharing this CD- Chopin's music, which I love so much!

Update #1: passed the half way point!
Its working! I have passed the halfway mark of my financial goal, and I am less than halfway through my 40 days, so I would say all is going well. Thanks to all of you who have pledged your support so far. Its a big thrill every time I hear about a new backer. Keep spreading the word- all the little bits help...
As for the CD, I'm hard at work at the editing process- so far we are on the 4th of the 11 tracks that will be on the CD.
