About this project
Hi my name is Cliff Roth and I want to speedpaint everyone on Google Plus who wants to be speedpainted. I do these speedpaints live via the Google Plus Hangout feature.
Why? Well I started doing them when a fellow G Plusser commented on one of my celebrity speedpaints saying that they wished they were a celebrity so they could be painted as well. That lit a lightbulb in my head. I am speedpainting to practice and warm-up anyway, why not speedpaint fellow Plussers? Using the Hangout feature just seemed a natural step. What better way to interact with people and have fun doing so?
I love when people tell me they are hanging out for the first time and decided to just to come watch me paint and/or be painted themselfs. What an honor.
I started this project to raise money for some equipment upgrades and expansions which will enable me to increase the number of Speedpaint Hangouts I host and hence the amount of people I can interact with and paint.
More specifically, the funds will be used towards getting laptops for my wife and older children. I only own one computer and with my wife going to school online and my older children about to use the computer for schoolwork I am soon to be very limited in the number of Speedpaint Hangouts I can do. Most of my computer time will be dedicated to commissioned work.
In addition to the laptops I also plan on getting recording software, headphones, mic and external cam in order to enhance the Hangout experience (those of you who have hung out with me before have probably heard some children in the background. I want to minimize that as much as possible).FAQ

I am an artist with a focus on digital painting though I also work in graphite, charcoal and colored pencil.
Occasionally, I dabble in traditional paints/sculpture and any other media I can get my hands on.
