This project will bring the KC Royal Thunder Drum Line to Europe and in return bring two world-class musicians to the United States.
This project is a cultural exchange designed to bring a professional Major League Baseball drum line to Serbia and bring two famous Serbian percussionists, Siniša Jović and Ivan Marjanović, to the U.S. The intent of this collaboration between the U.S. Drummer’s Collective and the Stanković Percussion Ensemble, the only drum line in Southern Europe, is to expose Serbian culture to the art of U.S. marching percussion while exposing the U.S. to the art of Serbian marching, orchestral and drum set percussion. This will be accomplished by having the Kansas City Royal Thunder Drum Line perform music indigenous to American culture and give clinics in one of the largest cultural centers in Europe: Belgrade, Serbia. In exchange Siniša Jović and Ivan Marjanović, will give performances and clinics throughout the U.S.
Here is a video from a project the U.S. Drummer's Collective and Stanković Percussion Ensemble did last year.

The U.S. Drummer’s Collective, under the direction of Matt Brusca, is an organization that is dedicated to cultural exchange through the artistic medium of percussion.
During July of 2011, the U.S. Drummer’s Collective was invited to perform in Belgrade, Serbia for EXIT Festival, BELEF, and with Belgrade’s own Stanković Percussion Ensemble. This cultural exchange saw the fruition of several days of clinics and master classes on marching percussion, multiple performances from the U.S. Drummer’s Collective at EXIT and BELEF, and a joint performance between Stanković Percussion Ensemble and the U.S. Drummer’s Collective. Both organizations gained an immense amount of percussion and cultural knowledge from each other and built relationships that bridged the cultural divide between two countries half the world apart.
