Update #6: Terminating the project on Kickstarter

Posted on February 15, 2010

Hi
I am terminating the project on Kickstarter. I rethought my needs as far as this project is concerned. After looking at this from all angles (or as many as I could find) I have decided that there is just not enough interest in these two records to write a book about them. I still have fantastic memeories and it is a part of my life that I will treasure, but I've realized that the there is a possibility that the records were made for Debbie Gold and in some little way, me. So thats where I'll store it, as a precious gift to keep in a lockbox under my bed to take out one in a while. Thanks to everyone who supported me in this.

Update #5: With heartfelt appreciation

Posted on January 27, 2010

I am so appreciative of everyone who has donated to the project. It is a project that will have interest from a great many people in and out of the enternainment world. For some reason Dylan is a character that has held the worlds attention for the entire span of his carreer. I was honored to work with him for a few months during that long carreer and though I really don't know the man (does anyone really know anybody else? I've been married for 32 years and my wife still surprises me), I gained a perspective that might be interesting to read about.
World Gone Wrong and Good As I Been To You were special in that Dylan sang other peoples songs, thus gaining another perspective in a multi faceted charcter that maybe never showed before and I got to be there and experience it. I want to share that with all of you. Thanks for believeing in me enough to contribute.
Friends known and unknown, thank you!

Update #4: WOW!!

Posted on January 21, 2010

It's pretty amazing to me that you people out there (some I know , many I don't know) would be willing to donate to such a project as this. Even if this doesn't get funded I am going to finish the book. it may just take a little longer Thank you to all of the backers! You're all pretty amazing and generous.
Thanks for the feedback. I think I am going to add some smaller awards to see if others will participate.
Thanks to all of you,
Love

Update #3: We have to start somewhere and keep rolling

Posted on January 19, 2010

THANK YOU ROBIN L. I'm amazed at the generosity of my friends. I warms my heart. This book will not be life changing. It will not fix the disaster in Haiti but it might bring some entertainment to all of our lives. I'm having a ball writing it. I have so many great memories of this time in my life.
Thanks,
Love,
micajah

Update #2: 83 days to go

Posted on January 15, 2010

Thanks to all the backers that have pledged! I have been getting some resistance to the project but right now I am committed to seeing it through.
I toyed with the idea of having a smaller (say 10.00) reward but I felt that I didn't want to go that route. I may reconsider as the project goes on, but as far as self publishing, I really want to avoid that if possible. Thanks
Micajah

In 1985 my family and I (my wife and three small children) migrated to North Hollywood, CA. I engaged in the trek with the expressed purpose of getting "involved in the music business". Easier said than done. After 4 months of delivering bottled water I was discouraged, to say the least. Debbie, a native of Kansas, wasn't having any part of my discouragement. "You dragged me all the way out here with three little kids. We're not going back!" I guess that settled it.
One morning a call came in to my company's office to set up bottled water service at a new studio in Burbank. I curiously strode into the facility called Take One Studios and met the owner, Steve, a man who looked like he had been awake for three days and was running on empty (which he had been and was). I volunteered to come back that night after I had delivered my bottled water and help. "I can't pay you" Steve was quick to point out. No matter, I had an opening at a recording studio. Little did I know where this would lead...
Since that time I have traveled around the world pusuing my dream of being "involved in the music business". During that pursuit I have worked with Gun-n-Roses, Megadeth, LA Guns, The Screaming Jets (Australia), Bob Dylan and many, many more. It has been exciting, harrowing, mind numbingly boring, and excrucuatingly painful, but it has been the ride of a lifetime. One part of that ride was the two albums I made with Bob Dylan in 1992 and 1993 called "Good As I Been To You" and "World Gone Wrong" respectivly. It is this experience upon which I have based the book.
