With a surprise ending, this book will inspire on many levels. It's the story of an NY City boy who came to make a NJ farm his life.

YOU DO IT!

We now have enough money to put this baby on a press and print 5,000 copies.  Half of all proceeds will go toward pancreatic cancer and the library's Bolger Heritage Center.

If we surprised some of you watching our progress by reaching our goal before the deadline, you are no more surprised than I am.

However, our goal has always been to spread this story to as many young and old as possible. So it's not too late to help us accomplish that. Every additional $600 donated will enable us to publish another 1,000 books. The school system can distribute a FREE copy to every 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grader if get another $2,000 in donations.

So if you still want to help, let's print more.

Those books will educate and inspire on many levels:

1. It chronicles the role that rail travel had in changing New Jersey, and so many other states across this country, from farm land to suburban America.

2. It encourages us all to retain our respect for the fruits of our land and for all of the creatures of the earth we share this land with.

3. It demonstrates what average citizens, with common values, can do to preserve local history for generations to follow.
