Kickstarter

I visited a local Boys & Girls Club in CT and they led me to an old gym that is thoroughly under-utilized and somewhat run down, visually.  They asked if I could do something on their largest wall to revitalize the space.  I said I would love to.  My plan is to incorporate images of the children that attend this facility into the large mural and also have the children assist with the creation of it.  Everyone was so excited about this and were thrilled that they would be a part of such a cool creation.  I feel the children and wonderful folks here will have a sense of pride in knowing that they helped to renovate this old space.  

The mural is enormous in size, roughly 80ft long x 15ft high.  I love to do work for charity and to change the lives of others.  My only concern is that my heart is bigger than my wallet.  With the materials / equipment covered, I will be able to do something that will benefit the community and the children involved.  

The funds I need to raise are solely for materials and equipment used for the creation and completion of this task.  Ladders / scaffolding and other large equipment rentals such as fans for ventilation, buckets, paint (TONS of paint both base paint and spray paint), respirators / masks, printing services (huge percentage of the cost), tape, clear coat finish, clean up costs, and van rental to move all of the equipment to and from the facility.  The costs exceed the project goal but I am hoping to be thrifty and acquire things at the amount raised.

Thank you to all friends and fans of both the arts and community!  The amount of time it takes to complete a mural of this size is not even close in comparison to the effect it will have on the children and community involved.  I appreciate everything provided and all support shown, whether through backing my project or through assisting me with spreading the word about this mural!
