Hey friends, It's your friendly neighborhood starving artist - MJ! Help me raise money to fund art prints, materials, and event fees.
On April 20th through the 22nd, Starland will be hosting the Denver Comic-fest at the Hyatt Regency DTC 7800 E Tufts Ave, Denver, CO. (For more information on Starland entertainment, and comicfest visit: http://starland.com/, and http://starland.com/wp/comicfest/) This event will gather artists, writers, publishers, and fans, and it will provide lots of opportunity for me to meet prefessionals, make new friends, sharpen my skills, and build a strong network within the artist community.
All proceeds will fund art prints (matte finish, or possibly Giclee fine art prints with enough money), materials for doing live commissions at the Denver Comic-fest, gas expenses, and hotel fees.
This is my first time leaving the safety of my home to present myself as an artist – and next to some very high regarded professionals. This leap of faith is in hopes that the experience will be a milestone in a future career path, and an extraordinary learning experience. I'm very nervous, but with support from my friends and family, I know this could be a life altering event.
