Update #26: Check out this Mecha Zone video :)
Hi everyone. I know it's been a while since the release of the book, but I continue explore creative ways of marketing it. Please take a look at this book trailer I made for Mecha Zone 1 and 2. I even created some animations of the cover mechs.
Now you can finally watch the Dragonfly mech transform from a jet to a mech!
I have had trouble getting people to notice the books so it would be immensely helpful if you could pass on the video to everyone you know. People LOVE the books when they see them in person at conventions, but completely ignore them online. I'm also looking for other places to share the video so any recommendations are welcome.
Also, I'll be a guest artist at Anime Boston next month. I hope to sell a lot of books. Wish me luck ;)

Update #25: all $50 and $100 level rewards have been shipped!
As of today, I have mailed out all of the rewards for $100 backers and below. That just leaves about 8 others to take care of plus some pre-orders from my web site. International shipping to Australia and Germany was killer, but totally worth it to get some awesome books in to the hands of awesome people!
I hope to have the rest in the mail by Saturday.

What was the trouble with shipping overseas? Was it much more expensive than you originally thought? Or was there customs trouble already?

Hey Walter, it was the expense. There weren't any real problems. Some of the boxes with 2 books weighed over 4 pounds and that made the classification change, which automatically increased the price per box by about $10. I have now found a way to pack things differently so the boxes are literally 3lb 15oz. Everything should be OK now. (and your package has shipped)

Update #24: $25 level rewards shipped!
Hey gang, just a quick update to let you know that all $25 level rewards have been shipped. I shipped the books and the prints separately. The prints are are in a tube so keep an eye out for them. International orders were shipped together in one box.
Update #23: Books are in stock! (finally)
Great news! The books just arrived about 30 minutes ago. 2000 pounds of mecha book goodness! I'll start packing and shipping ASAP. basic orders will go out first for expedience, and then I'll work on orders that need sketches.
I still need one address from backer DS99. If you read this, please send me your address!
Thanks to all of you and Kickstarter, most of the printing costs were covered. I still need to sell about 100 books at full price to break even. For comparison, I still need to sell about 40 copies of Mecha Zone 2 to break even and that book has been selling for about a year.

Update #22: Video of the embossing and spot varnish.
Sorry to spam you with updates but I am gushing with excitement because I received a sample book today. It looks even better than I was expecting! The embossing is unbelievably cool. It's almost like getting an action figure on the cover ;)
I reviewed this sample copy and then made the final payment to the printer. The books are being mailed today. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes for them to get to Massachusetts from Texas, but I think it took a week for the last book. Here's a video to get you pumped!
