Greetings from Candyland!

Do you see it? Look, look! It's right there!

Yep, that's the light at the end of the FreeCandy tunnel. With 8 days remaining in the Campaign for FreeCandy, I'm proud to announce that we have crossed the halfway point toward our funding goal - $11,480 to be exact. Are now riding the wave downhill toward success!!

Since I last spoke with you all, we have done some amazing work! We've added over 25 new Candy Contributors. I'd like to welcome you all and send my deepest gratitude. You rock, royally! I'd also like to send a Big Shout to Andrea Wells for donating her birthday to the Campaign and being a tireless Candy compatriot! We raised $1300 in ONE NIGHT!! (pics below) Additionally, the NY Post/Brooklyn Paper ran a story about FreeCandy and the response from that has been incredible (link below)!

With that said, we have exactly 8 days (192 Hours) remaining to raise $8,520.

No sweat. Over the next few days, I along with a dedicated team (including some of you), will be hitting the phones, attacking the internet, sending carrier pigeons, smoke signal and underwater beacons to raise every dime possible for FreeCandy. Additionally, I will be hosting our 2nd fundraiser, FreeCandy: The Musical Fundraiser! We're putting the "Fun" back in Fundraiser, baby, yeah! Featuring donated performances from The Fire & Reason, Soundwavve, DJ Soul and DJ Jennifly, this event is gonna be super righteous, and get us significantly closer to our goal. I've included a link to the Facebook page (below) for the event and I've attached the invite to this message. Please "share" the Facebook page with your friends and send the invite to anyone you think would be interested in attending.

What else can you do? Well, I'm glad that you asked. Besides, being your super awesome selves as Candy Contributors, I simply ask that you dial-up your Candy Communications in this, the last week of the campaign. That means tell everyone you know about what we're accomplishing here with FreeCandy and ask them to contribute, no matter how large or minimal the amount.

Every single dollar counts now more than ever!!

It's that simple. The more you talk about it, the closer we get. Oh, by the way, I ran into the Kickstarter team and they were VERY impressed with our efforts. They also offered some very encouraging news. Did you know that 90% of the projects that reach 30% of their goal go on to get funded? I didn't either. And considering we're at 50%+, we are well on our way!! And also, they informed me that most projects receive the majority of their funding in the last 24 hours. Apparently people procrastinate. Who knew? (:^D

I can't tell you guys how much I love and appreciate each and every one of you for your initial and continued support. I'm still humbled and amazed by your belief in the vision, and what will soon become the reality of FreeCandy.
