Kick Starter could change everything for us! Last year we brought back the German Festival "Oktober Festival". We are a small town in New Mexico known as Rio Rancho. We have many Germans living within and around our town and we receive and amazing amount of support for this great event. This event hosts a German Miss Oktober fest contest, German Car Show and German foods. The amount of laughs, fun, culture and love shared during this two day event is AMAZING!! 

The problem we are up against is, being a small town we can not seem to get over the slight hump to bring back a wooden dance floor and train German dancers to put on a show. We have a great Folk dancer, teacher, that is more than willing to put in the time and effort into creating an unforgettable live dance show exploding with German culture and a builder willing to build a wonderful dance floor however, we need to produce the money for the outfits, dance floor, and place for these people to stay. 

With your help, we can easily get over this financial hump this year and put on a German dance show that will last forever. All we need is, this "kick start" to push things forward and from then on, it will be more than successful and self sustaining. 

This is a great opportunity to bring back a wonderful cultural dance that is talked about often but unfortunately not widely seen nor expressed. This dance will bring joy and entertainment to over 5,000 attendees which will fund your great rewards for getting us over this  "hump" so to speak of lacking funds. This funding will be used for the following:

Gas reimbursement for the instructor and director of dance

New wooden dance floor

Outfits for dancers

Music and Sound system for the show

Room and Board for Dancers  

and rehearsal space for dancers leading up to show on September 22nd and 23rd 

The Festival is the only cultural event that I can think of, that is hosted in Rio Rancho and it is privately thrown. Not to mention, this could potentially open an entire new hobby for many, in our community. I think that I can speak for everyone in Rio Rancho when I say, "this will brighten our hearts and lives for many years to come."
