Whether you’re a fan of short film, genre stories, sci-fi, or family drama, thank you for your interest in our film! We will soon begin production on our short movie Traveling Through Life, a film about a single parent household that has a dark secret that once exposed will change the world for everyone.
Eighteen months ago I began working with Gravitywell Productions, a collective of film producers that make up the crew and staff on our short film Traveling Through Life. As a group we have worked on several projects together and have self funded all of them.
As a dedicated collection of film producers we have decided to actively pursue film as a full-time career. In two years we have worked closely with one another and grown as a team. We feel we’ve reached a point in our growth that it’s now time to reach out to others. This is why we’ve undertaken this funding campaign. It is our introduction to the wider art community and hopefully the beginning of many wonderful projects that we can undertake with your support.
What am I supporting?
Cast
Our primary goal with this fundraising effort is to have the ability to pay our cast. We feel this is of paramount importance. We can shoot all day, but without talented actors in front of the camera we will not have a film worth watching. We know the fund raising amount we’re asking for is only a token but it’s a token we’d like to offer the cast for the hard work required to make this a great film!
Sound
We really want this film to sound great. With your help we will be able to pay for an audio technician with professional equipment.
Hair and Makeup
Hair and Makeup in a film is key to a good looking film. With your support we be able tol pay for additional Hair and Makeup artists to give the cast of Traveling Through Life a professional polish that can only come with top quality hair design and makeup application!
Composer
With you support we will be able to hire a composer to create an awesome original score for the film.
Equipment and Expendables
We are using mostly all of our own equipment in the making of this film. We need to purchase media to transfer and store the footage and we need to maintain all of the equipment that we do have once we enter the post production stage.
Craft Service
Please help us feed our cast and crew. It may be last on the list but this is very important! A hungry cast and crew is not a happy one to deal with.

Do you have to reach your goal?
Yes. We need to reach or surpass our goal to in order to keep any pledges made towards our film. If we do not reach our goal we receive nothing.
What happens if you exceed the goal amount?
Great question! If we exceed our goal by enough, we will use that money to raise the level of our production by reaching out to talented individuals that will provide technical assistance in lighting, camera lenses, and editing consulting. We know with this extra technical help we can take the support we receive from the Kickstarter community and produce an amazing film!
What’s the shoot date?
As of now, we’re looking at March 15th as the day we start rolling cameras. We will update this page as we progress through the various stages of pre-production to keep you informed on how things are coming together.
Can I give my reward as a gift?

Rachel Marks graduated from The University of Miami In 2007, where she studied Motion Pictures and Graphic Design. Since then she has worked on several reality shows like So You Think You Can Dance, The Jersey Shore, The Real World and The Biggest Loser. Along with reality shows she has worked on several live productions like The Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show and The Golden Globes.
On these various productions she has worked as a casting assistant, production assistant, assistant editor, production coordinator and associate producer.
