About this project

Several years ago a cross country Segway adventure rolled into the hearts and minds of people around the world. Indie film, 10 MPH, launched director Hunter Weeks on his path of filmmaking. With over a million views worldwide, 10 MPH continues to receive rave reviews about the power to change lives. Today, Hunter continues to direct heartwarming journey films, like 2010’s award-winning Ride the Divide. Together with Tour Divide racer and Ride the Divide executive producer, Mike Dion, the film captured a powerful journey following cyclists through the Great Divide on a 2700-mile mountain bike race from Canada to Mexico.

Now, we’re asking for your help to deliver the next feature film, Where the Yellowstone Goes, a drift boat expedition along the Yellowstone River. We’ve started filming and with your support now, we can ensure that we’ll reach a huge audience this spring, helping in some small way to change more lives.

We aim to deliver high quality films that inspire, motivate, and uplift our audience. With your help we can put the utmost quality behind the messages we share. These Kickstarter funds will help cover the costs of graphics, color correction, audio, music, and a broad theatrical release.

About the film:

Where the Yellowstone Goes follows a small crew on a soul-searching and inspirational journey along the longest free-flowing river in the contiguous United States: the Yellowstone River. They’ll rally together the supplies they need, including a hand built drift boat and set course on a voyage of grand proportions and life defining events. Experience silhouetted moments of the crew fly fishing in the amber morning light, telling life stories by a fire and connecting with colorful folks along the way. Add to this the unending sounds and sights of a massive water flow, flanked on each side by huge, snow-capped mountains and plains full of elk and deer, bald eagles and the occasional grizzly bear. This is Montana, this is the Yellowstone River and this is one of the most spectacular and unique landscapes in the world.

We're excited to share just Where the Yellowstone Goes with you.
