We hit our goal in record time....some troops will be getting books....not enough however..let's make this happen...talk to people, show them the  links. The more is pledged, the more troops can be served. 

Haven: 10 year promise is a personal comic project that I've written since I was 16 years old.  I'm deciding to fulfill a promise to the guys I served with in Iraq. During our deployment, I would work on this comic book that I had been writing for years...The pages that I drew, would pass around to anybody that was interested to see what I was doing when we weren't on missions. Though the pages I drew, were snippets of the full story I had created, the guys enjoyed it. It was a relief of the stress we endured in war. It became an escape for all of us. I've always been told "dude..when you finish..I need to get a copy".

I made a promise to those guys...and I'm going to fullfill that promise. I'll be creating a single volume graphic novel, that will tell the story of Haven. One that I've spent over ten years writing. My intent isn't to get it published and sold around the world. It will become available to everybody who wants it... but I want to do this to send a copy to all my friends that have ever believed I could achieve that goal and  send copies of it to the soldiers currently serving overseas and don't have the access to all the cool stuff we do on a daily basis.

The rewards are modest, but the idea is to give something back to those that are giving so much, so follow me as I begin this project and join me to do something nice for those who can't be with us right now. Regardless of how much you pledge, it will go towards printing and postal costs. The more is pledged, the more book can be sent.

Haven Overview:

The world had been ravaged by creatures known as Tyrants. Humanity had been pushed to the brink of extinction and the remaining survivors fled to small armored compounds called Sanctums, living in fear of stepping out into the world that has become a nightmare. During these dark times, a glimmer of hope emerged. Haven, a mysterious congregation which rose out of the ashes of a forgotten world, had taken up arms against these tyrants. This glimmer had turned into a roaring flame of salvation. However, the brighter the flame, the darker the shadow.

The story centers around Vale, a paragon hunter making a living rummaging through the ruins of abandoned cities. His world is turned upside down when his path crosses with a mysterious woman, claiming to be his late childhood friend Renee. Vale is thrown into a whirlwind of mystery that pits him and his companions against Haven, which has set its sight on her. Secrets are revealed that will shake the entire foundation of humanity to its core, in which Renee is the key.
