Hey my name is Danielle Ezzo and I'm a Brooklyn based artist. I make mixed media pieces that often start from historical based photography. My work has been exhibited nationally and my last series of images garnered attention at the 2011 Alternative Process juried exhibition at Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco  and Soho Photo in New York.

I'm excited to share with you good news -- an exhibition opportunity here in New York City at Galerie Protégé. The new work, Invisible Cities, tips it's hat to the beginning of photo history by using a cameraless approach.

Conceptually, Invisible Cities, expands upon my prior work, Kindred Systems, which aimed to recontextualize the notion of kin. In an era where the standard framework of family is continually being redefined, we start to question how we actually connect to one another. Essentially, this is a visual study of the infrastructure of social networks.

Currently, I'm about half way done with the project. I'm calling out into cyberspace for assistance in finishing the production and framing of Invisible Cities. Here's a basic breakdown of where your generous contributions will be going:

chemicals (bostick & sullivan): $300
