I arrived here at Arteles yesterday afternoon, and after a bit of exploring (and a well needed nap) I think it is safe to say this is truly a dream manifested, and I could not have done it without the help of all of you beautiful, generous, large hearted folk. I would like to update the estimated delivery of the rewards, since I was unable to make it to the post office before my departure and despite having all of the $10 and $25 rewards ready and roaring to go, you can expect your very own, one of a kind, magical collage by mid-late August. I apologize for all of you at the edge of your seat, since there is a very good chance I am able to whip you up something even more magical while I am here at the residency. Again, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my grateful heart, live from a desk covered in creative opportunity. I am overflowing with inspiration and have already made a bunch of new, exciting pieces. I can only imagine what this month will behold! I guess we can only find out...

It's truly a dream come true. Thank you to everyone that opened their hearts and wallets in these times of mutual support and I cannot express my gratitude enough. I am happy to say I can take yet another big deep breath as I continue my preparations in the next 2 weeks before I depart for Finland! I have so many ideas for projects that I cannot wait to begin, and I will be keeping my blog updated frequently with evolutions. I will also be sending out a survey shortly to obtain your shipping information and specifics for those of you that pledged custom pieces. I am bursting with light on this the longest day of the year! It's only getting brighter!!! Love to you all!

In the spirit of the Summer Solstice and this time warp speeding past us I want to again thank everyone from the bottom of my soul for your generosity and trust in my ability to do great things in the name of Truth, Honor, Happiness, and Love (and all that is unnamed). Anything is possible, and the ability to fulfill this opportunity is a testament to that. I know in the deepest parts of me that this is my calling and I am willing to go to the ends of the earth to live the dream! Thank you all for being apart of this history, it will not go unnoticed! WOW! I think i can finally take a big deep breath.

Thank you all SO MUCH for your support in this visionary quest of making dreams a reality. I can't believe I am truly going to be an Artist-in-residence in Finland and that it's only a few weeks away. I really could not have done this without you. Having just moved back to New York this seemed an impossible adventure too good to be true. But a few weeks worth of whirling excitement and diligence and I can now say that anything is possible. I will be posting a few new rewards for the remaining week of the fundraiser since I truly do need all the help I can get and this goal is the bare minimum to fully fund this opportunity. The more I am able to raise the more freedom I will have with both the quality and quantity of materials, and ultimately with creation. It has been years since I have been able to afford to indulge in photographic films, and I would like to make prints which are very costly to process and develop. To think that I will be able to take pictures again without fear! My soaring soul! My spirit is overflowing with inspiration and I can't wait to get started! I will bring back proof of magic's existence. You will feel it too.

Real Simple

Hello! I am soooo excited to be more than 3/4 of the way to my goal of accepting residency in Finland next month and I feel the need to share my overflowing enthusiasm. Those of you who have contributed thus far have kept my spirits high at a time of electric uncertainty. Only a month ago I relocated from Portland, OR to New York without much of a plan other than to believe in magic, and not a day after arriving did I receive word of my invitation to the residency. Talk about a double whammy! It has been my driving force these past few dream-like weeks to do everything I can to fulfill this opportunity and the closer I get to my goal the more I know in my heart the magic truly IS real and that all of you are apart of it. Nothing is impossible. Even for us starving artists doing everything in our power to make art making a reality. I am truly grateful for all of your love and support and I know that with just a little bit more well deserved effort all of the pieces will fall into place and it will be simple enough. There is no need to complicate things. Everything is happening, and it's only getting better! Thank you!!!
