Below is a detailed description of our project:
Josh Atkinson and Sam Billen are teaming up this year to release a Christmas album in the true spirit of Christmas. Our goal is to raise enough money to press a thousand CDs to hand out to strangers, friends, and family for free - no strings attached, just good music with good intentions.
Sam successfully undertook a similar project 2 years ago and was able to hand out hundreds of copies in the Lawrence/Kansas City area as well as sending hundreds of copies to friends overseas in Japan, France, and Hong Kong for them to pass out to people in a similar manner. We're hoping to repeat that success this year.
The album will be a mix of original songs and our renditions of some old Christmas carols. We have the deadline set so early to make sure we can get the CDs out in early December. We'll be planning the artwork, mastering the CD, and having them pressed at the end of November.

Our plan is to press as many CDs as we can with the funds raised - there will be no monetary profit in this for Josh or Sam. Any leftover funds will be donated to a humanitarian charity.
