Dear Primitive Times Backers,
More good news for us all... First of all, I was back in the studio over the weekend with my band the Epic Poets, under the direction of Bryce Goggin at Trout Studios in Brooklyn. We are working on a single for Syria that has been funded by a single investor from Dubai. It will consist of two songs (each will have an acoustic and electric version) with accompanying videos. These videos will involve full crew and productions team. Hopefully the songs and videos will resonate with people around the world to raise awareness of the ongoing struggle in Syria. I will post them as soon as I have them completed for you all. I am honored that I have been asked to sing at a benefit concert called Songs for Syria on Thursday, May 31 @ 6:30 at Drom in NYC. Here is a link for more information

Also I am excited to be working on a few different versions of the classic folk song "Little Boxes" for possible inclusion in the TV show Weeds on Showtime. We are in the running for it, and we are submitting some great stuff, so put a good vibe out there so that we make the cut.
If you have the time, I would so appreciate if you could write a review of Primitive Times on the iTunes and/ or Amazon pages. It can be just a few words, or a treatise if you prefer. Here are the links that will take you directly to the page where you can click "write a review"

Finally, if you are in CT this Thursday, I have a double header: I will be performing at the opening night of Westport's Art About Town outside on Main Street from 6-8. And then I will be at the Loft in South Norwalk with the Epic Poets from 9:45 to close.
Sincerely, Dylan
Hello Backers,
I am glad to say that the Ireland Tour was a great success. I was fortunate to be on the radio on three occassions playing live with Mark Mollica on guitar. Here is a link to the interview from 4/14 on DSFM South Dublin radio with a performance of Whose With me Now - the show is called On The Verge or in Irish Idir Linn. This was a cool show because the host spoke Irish.
Another great review of Primitive Times rolled in this week from New York Music Daily. Read the review here...
BUT PERHAPS MOST IMPORTANTLY, PLEASE JOIN ME FOR THE OFFICIAL RECORD RELEASE IN NYC TOMORROW NIGHT, SATURDAY 4/21 FROM 7-9 AT THE LIVING ROOM IN NYC. 154 LUDLOW ST. 10 DOLLARS. WE WILL HAVE LOTS OF SPECIAL GUESTS AS WE PLAY THE ENTIRE RECORD IN SEQUENCE!
As always, thanks to you my kickstarter family for making it all possible.
With Gratitude,
Dylan
Dear Backers, Well, there is only one week to go before the record is released world wide, and the reviews re starting to roll in. Here is one that comes from Elmore Magazine:

I will be doing a hometown record release at Las Vetas Lounge on Saturday night, April 7th at 8pm. Then I am heading to Ireland to do a week's worth of radio and club dates. I am super excited about this trip and even happier that guitarist Mark Mollica will be accompanying me. For details go to http://www.dylanconnor.com/dates
Last but not least, I will be interviewed next week on NPR in regards to both my musical and fundraising work in support of the Syrian cause... I will let you know more details on that as they develop.
Please consider joining the Dylan Connor Buzz Brigade on Facebook to help spread the word about all of this exciting news, go here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/129679840495151/
Thanks to all of you for making each step of this amazing journey possible.
Dylan
Hello Backers of Primitive Times,
I am proud to announce that my song for Syria "Feza Feza" will be released as a bonus track on Primitive Times when it is released world wide on April 10th by A2Z Entertainment and eOne Distribution. I am also proud to announce that my fundraiser for Syria at the Living Room raised 12,000 dollars for humanitarian aid that is already in the hands of the people in need. Here is a link to the live version of Feza Feza from that event, which featured Mark Mollica on guitar, Trevor Coen on Bass, and Joe Izzo on drums.

I am also pleased to announce that upon the release of the record, I will be heading to Ireland for a series of shows! Ahh yes... Back to the motherland. After my tour of Ireland, I will be playing record release shows in NYC, Boston, Philly, and DC. TBA.
On this past Valentine's Day, Goldfish Prize officially released the video for Lynchburg Lemonade, and a companion piece about the writing of that song filmed and edited thanks to your contributions. Here is the link:

Thanks to Manny Santiago for his work on this. Each single released from the record will be accompanied by one of these "Classroom Sessions" which were recorded in my classroom where I teach Latin by day.
Finally, I would love to share that I recently flew to Salt Lake City, UT in order to perform and speak at a fundraiser for Syria sponsored by the Syrian American Medical Society. We raised over 100,000 dollars for Syrian Relief!
Please click this link and like my new Facebook Band Page, and then ask your Facebook crew to like it. Social Media visibility is paramount these days.

None of this would be possible without your help.
Thanks again
