I wanted to add a breakdown of costs up here -  I know this is a large sum of money and I thought it might be a helpful to write out how it will be used if the campaign is successful:

Mixing $500. per song = $5,000
Mastering $1,000
Pressing of CDs $2,500
Postage (for press, radio and pledge rewards) $1,500
3 month press/promotion (PR) $4,500
Total: $14,500 

That's how it breaks down at the moment. The highest cost - the 3 months of PR - would raise the profile of the release by bringing it to the attention of more people who would enjoy the music. There may be extra costs that arise and there may be some that cost less. Since I have my own studio I saved money on some of the recording, which has been awesome.

HERE IS THE STORY....

This is the indie record I've always wanted to make. I'm so excited to share it with you. I have been writing these songs for the past two years and they have brought me much happiness and struggle - this has been a beautiful journey. I have learned much along the way and it's all on the record.

Like the rest of us - I have been mending the past, fighting to live in the moment and dreaming about the future on all these songs. I've put my everything into them. 

WHAT IS ALL THIS MONEY FOR?

The recording for the record is almost finished. The pledge you make here today will go to the post-production of the record. That includes mixing, mastering, marketing and promotion. With your help we can bring these songs to life.
