Update #7: The last gasp!
Wow you guys, over $5000!! There's only 8 days left until our campaign's over, and we can't wait to see what fans can get us to - we promise to reward you with awesome prizes, a FREE event and great films in May! This is your last chance to beg your friends, relatives, workmates and strangers on the street for donations. Thanks again to everyone who's donated so far.
Update #6: We made it... but keep going!
What a fantastic response! We've hit our goal with 30+ days to go. But fans only fund a small part of the festival, and with lost sponsors we really appreciate the people who've continued to donate since we hit our goal. If you were planning to give anyway, please do, the prizes still apply and the more money we get, the better a festival we can put on!
Update #5: Almost there!
Thanks to some incredibly generous backers, we're now almost at our funding goal! Your donations really help us, because we've lost a major sponsor since last year and everything you give is greatly appreciated! Keep spreading the word - everything we get will make the festival even better. And look forward to getting your Troma prizes......
Update #4: Half way!
After an incredible weekend of donations, we have passed our half-way point and are at $2,700! Thanks to all the generous people who donated and pestered their loved ones to donate too. We're still giving away special prizes on facebook, and we're extended the deadline for entries too, so if you're submitting films (which is FREE) you have until March 15, and info can be found here: http://tromadance.com/submit.php. We've received over 300 films so far, so you know it's going to be a great festival (as long as we reach our goal)!!

Lloyd Kaufman is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and occasional actor. With producer Michael Herz, he is the co-founder of Troma Entertainment Inc., and the director of many of their feature films, including The Toxic Avenger and Tromeo and Juliet. Kaufman also serves as chairman of the Independent Film & Television Alliance.
Lloyd Kaufman is the founder of the Tromadance Film Festival.
