About this project
I am working on a photo book series entitled "Adventures in Lomo, Volume 1: 30 days by Train". The book will be made up of photos taken with a Lomo LC-A+ camera, using slide film that I cross-process [develop in the wrong chemicals to get vibrant, contrasted images]. I am currently planning my 30 Days by Train, I will be going from Portland to Chicago to Boston to New York to Washington DC and then back to Portland. I will be documenting the entire trip from start to finish, photos of the train stations, on the train, people i meet, and photos of each city I visit.
This is the first book in the series. I have already started collecting images for Volumes 2 and 3.
I am seeking funds for the following...
1. Train ticket.
2. Hostel in each city.
3. Film to document the adventure.
4. Developing the film.

FILM ART:
I am a self-taught photographer working with 35mm film. My images are printed exactly as they turn out in an alternative developing process, they are not altered in any way. Instead of using Photoshop, I rely on obscure angles and the film developing process to create a unique and altered image.
I find inspiration in the world around me, from ordinary day-to day scenery to broken and dilapidated objects. I am always challenging and pushing myself to progress my art by shooting with a variety of cameras and experimenting with different films and developing processes. My goal is to photograph the world, revealing it to you through my eyes.
