My debut novel, Kill Me (A Blood Chord Novel) is *this* close to publication, it just needs a little push from you guys. I've paid for the cover (isn't it divine!) and it's being edited now. What else is there then?

• I need to pay a formatter, which is going to come it around $200 for all popular ebook formats plus the paperback version. I've done some coding myself in the past, but always for a novella or short story collection. In order to offer a professional book with a standardized appearance, I think this function will have to be outsourced. 
• Also, in order to have a successful book launch, I need to pay for review copies and other advertising/ promotion. The best book launches have some sort of PR drive behind them, so while I could do virtually no promo that requires money, it would be a waste of time. Add space sells books-- just ask all those Indie authors that pay for spots on Kindle Nation Daily or Pixel of Ink. One ad on similar sites will run close to $200-- but it is worth it in terms of exposure. 
  
• I would like to have a last copy edit done on the manuscript just to polish and spit-shine. This will cost another $300 easy. 
• I have to cover the costs of the Rewards for this campaign. 
  

I've set the campaign lower than I actually need, because every little bit helps and if the campaign fails then my book gets nothing. But in truth, my cost will exceed the campaign amount, so I'm hoping  that many, many readers will treat this like a book pre-order to take advantage of the discount available compared to what the ebook version will retail for.

Thirty-something Claire is normal to the point of boring. She has a child, a husband who's leaving her and a decent job as a PR rep for a boutique firm. Heck, she's practically living the American Dream. While at a music industry convention for work, Claire’s life goes from status-quo to “Oh, no!” with one chance encounter. 

Claire meets Bette, a captivating Italian woman with a haunted violin; an instrument that can only be played by the supernaturally gifted. Bette, a vampire with an eye on Claire's untapped talents, tries to turn her into one of the undead. Only it doesn't appear to have worked, at least not one-hundred percent.

While figuring out what fate has planned for her, Claire must also create a marketing campaign off-the-cuff for a Girl-centric guitar company, survive her first strip club visit, and fake being a violin virtuoso in front of thousands.  She turns to Bette and her Vampy-friends for help, but trusting them with her life may not be the smartest decision she’s ever made.
