this is just too cool, i have been handing out ogre and gev pocket games
as convention prizes for years, i had a supply but it has finally run out,
i just had my one beat up old box and its' taped together map.
now we get a new spiffier box with really cool toys, but,
what about ogre Cthulhu and the spawns?

      thanks SJ and SJG

Pete, no, you can't download a die cut sheet. Maybe I should have specified "die cut blank counters".

Warren, isn't that what's basically available for download now?

Creator Warren Dew on May 12, 2012

Not sure where the survey on the last counter sheet is going to be, but here's one suggestion for it that you might not have thought of: blank counters or counters with just the line art, for us to color in as we wish. Also leave the unit names blank so we can fill those in.

Also I just want to say thank you for promising a Car Wars Kickstarter. Congratulations, awesome. Being a player of this game since the early 80"s I cant help but be happy. Many a fond memory of sitting in study hall passing that hour with ogre and a wooden pencil for a D6, seeing how dice were not allowed. Go Figure. Now that SJG seems poised on the brink of a great wave a nostlogia, what with Car Wars next year, I say bring back my personal favorite microgame and a tie in with Ogre - Riviets(sp). Same time frame and done with a tounge fiirmly in cheek gameplay was fantastic.

Again congrats to all involved, designers and backers,

To build on a previous comment, in light of all the supporter names you have to accommodate, what if you made a small fold-up poster of the Ogre logo (or similar such thing) which is in turn made up of all the names in various degrees of shading? You know, like one of those pictures made up of thumbnail shots, but when you step back it blurs out into a larger picture. The fold-up poster shouldn't take up that much room in the box.

      Woohoo. Congrats, guys.

Looking forward to the video games. FWIW, as a Windows Phone user (yes! we do exist!), the development environment Microsoft's created is far faster than for other platforms, it can literally take an order of magnitude less time to create a Windows Phone app than iOS, so just because of the small user base, don't write it off: the expenditure to create the app may be far lower than for other platforms, even though the return would certainly be less.

Also, I would buy a book of fiction. Even if the other folks wouldn't.

You are sponsoring a whole 8" x 10” counter sheet, which will go into every copy of the game. We’ll work with you to determine what goes on the sheet and how it will be colored. The unit design will have to fit Ogre canon (no clown faces on the Superheavy Tanks, no overt advertising on the Ogres . . .) but that still leaves a lot of leeway. Your name will go on the sheet as sponsor, and we’ll send you at least a dozen extra copies of the sheet. This also includes everything at the $100 level. (Again, shipped anywhere.)

Your own exclusive 8" x 10” counter sheet. Want an Ogre with your logo on it? Want a squadron of pink GEVs? No problem. We’ll work with you on colors, design, and choice of dies. You’ll also be able to print your logo, name, or other stuff on the margins of the sheet. This could be a promo item for a convention, distributor, or big retail store. These sheets won’t go into the actual game. We will ship you at least 3,000. We’ll own the remaining copies but (unless you wish otherwise) they’ll stay in our warehouse for at least a year after the new Ogre game is released. If you want to resell your sheets, rather than just give them away, you’ll have to sign a licensing agreement to use the Ogre name and images, but that won’t cost you extra. This also includes everything at the $100 level. (Shipping free in the US. You will pay actual shipping costs outside the US.)

Your own exclusive 10.5 x 17.125” counter sheet. You must use one of our existing dies; your best choices are Combine armor, Paneuro armor, or a sheet full of Ogres. Time is short, so you must either provide your own art to our specs, or make the "paint" job simple. You’ll still be able to print your logo, name, or other stuff on the margins of the sheet. These sheets won’t go into the actual game. We will ship you at least 3,000. Your Own Ogre Convention. Steve Jackson will attend your 2-day Ogre event anywhere in the US or Canada (you can ask about other locations, but no promises!). You will need to cover Steve’s hotel and travel costs separately, and dates have to fit his existing commitments, so factor that in, and please talk to Steve directly (post a comment with your contact info) before you pledge! You also get four copies of the Kickstarter edition, your choice of $600 worth of Ogre swag or extras, and naming rights to one Ogre in the Designer's Edition as described for the $200 level. Steve will bring a large stack of party favors (including three of our prototype 3-D Ogres which you can use as prizes), run events, talk about upcoming projects, sign things, and other general convention stuff. Or you can do it as a house party and only invite a few people. Your call.
