The Running Dead 5K is designed to test the public’s preparedness for the pending Zombie Apocalypse! The Running Dead 5K, a first-of-its-kind zombie-infested 5K in Southeast Texas, also wants the public to be prepared for the upcoming zombie apocalypse. In the event that an outbreak occurs and the zombies invade, the Haunted Hotel in connection with the Fear Factory Outlet is hosting its inaugural race this fall to challenge all brave souls and to test their disaster preparedness skills and endurance by racing through obstacles. A portion of proceeds from the race will be donated to the the St. Judes Children's Hospital 


So, you're ready to help support the Running Dead 5k, and you want to know what your hard earned money is going to. Well, in short, your support will be going towards everything we need to get this race off the ground. 

• Equipment to build and buy obstacles
• Procuring a location / arena for the event
• Food, Beverages, Entertainment
• Marketing, advertising
• Insurance to cover workers and participants
• Tents, pavilions, and shelter
