About this project
The Show
Felt High is a comedy webseries that follows a group of high school students through the trials and tribulations of everyday teen life. Except these students are puppets, and their high school is anything but normal.
Within the halls of Felt High, topics like peer pressure and dating are skimmed over so that the hard-hitting issues can be addressed: zombie takeovers, radioactive lunch-meat monsters, disfiguring gypsy curses, etc. And the students aren't the only colorful cast members on the show. Hall monitoring robots, demons from the netherworld, and an evil principal are just a few other kinds of characters you'll find at Felt High. You can also forget about heartwarming life lessons... at the end of each episode of our show the characters end up learning nothing at all and showing absolutely no personal growth or development! (But you can bet your ass it will be hilarious!)
Felt High isn't your typical run of the mill puppet show either. We shoot the entire show on a green screen stage and then have digital artists create the world of Felt High around the puppets using awesome animation and top notch visual effects. And it's because of this unique look and process that we need your help...
Our Goal
We've got a whole 14 episode season of Felt High written and developed. Each episode averages 8-10 minutes in length. And thanks to our project partners and our awesome cast and crew who have all donated countless hours of their time, we've already been able to begin shooting the show. But we want Felt High to hit the web for everyone to watch in early 2012, and in order to do that we need help. We have a few additional production costs (props, food for crew, etc.) and because of the massive amount of high quality VFX, a lot of post production expenses (software, hardware, steel chains to bind our editors and digital artists to their computers for several months straight, etc.). If we can raise $40,000 dollars or more via Kickstarter, we can get Felt High up and running lightning fast, complete the first season, and get all of you laughing your internet browsing asses off!
