Hey folks, Will McCranie here. If you've made it to this page we've probably had a cup of coffee, a beer, philosophized about music, high-fived... you get the idea. If not, you can find out more about me at willmccranie.com and I hope we'll get the chance to meet on the road in the near future.
I've traditionally gone the route of the lonely acoustic troubadour, but this summer I put together The Will McCranie Trio (Will McCranie, Noah Schipani-Trivier, Tommy Walsh). In our first few months, we wasted no time, rocking some of New York's finest venues (Brooklyn Bowl, Arlene's Grocery & The National Underground) and over the next few weeks, we'll be heading into the studio to record and release our first EP!
We'll be recording at Let 'Em In Music in Park Slope, Brooklyn and Zach McNees is lined up to engineer the sessions & make us sound pretty. Some of you may remember him from his work on my albums North/South and smile.shift.speak. We're really blessed to have him onboard.
We've got a lot of great things in store and with your help we'll have a killer EP to get us on the right track!
Thank you for your continued support,
Will

Connected as Will McCranie (2205 friends)
Will McCranie's strumming will get to you. Propellant, soft, funky and bluesy, and all at the drop of a hat, it's the bread and butter of McCranie's one man wondershow. He has toured nationally, opened for the Goo Goo Dolls and Colbie Callait on the way, and last year he recorded a song a week, every week. (Do the math: that's impressive.) Born in Augusta, GA and based in NYC, this child of the south has America's richest musical traditions at his fingertips, as evidenced in his latest album smile.shift.speak. And by God, McCranie sings his heart out with every breath. This is country soul, pure and potent.
— Joy Hanson, BeaconPass.com
Though he has traditionally focused on flying solo, the all new WM3 finds McCranie in full tilt electric mode with Tommy Walsh on drums and Noah Schipani-Trivier holding down the low end on bass.
