I have mailed out all the reward packages, (except Scott, who has not sent an address, and Cassidy - the offer stands) , the ones going to Canada and Switzerland may take a while to get there.
I am going to San Francisco in the morning, and will be in Washington DC the end of October for the Stewart/Colbert Rally,
I have also taken the domain name " I check coin returns dot com" but, I have not built the site, or subscribed to a hosting service yet. I will wait until the Spring when I start the campaign on Kickstarter to establish August 13th as "International I Check Coin Returns Day"
The project funding would close August 3rd, to allow shipping so participants can have supply in time.
My thoughts at this point is to offer reward packages that would be 10, 25, or 50 button piece levels which would be advocate, participant, or sponsor packs.
I've also thought about some "upscale" return "Prizes" like the Chinese 1/10 oz. Panda coins (about $150) or going to pawn shops and buying some diamond rings. Earrings would work as well. I kinda like the "good things in small packages" theme here.
We can do this. We can make our own holiday, it would foster randomness, gifting, and scores of people asking "WTF?"
We need every holiday we can get our hands on
