About this project
Elbows are elbows, a man is a man, and a tale is a tale. That much seems clear. But when elbows become more than just elbows, a man becomes less than a man, and a tale becomes...
That's for you to discover. Come along for the ride as I complete the final rewrite of my first novel and prepare it for publication. The story is called The Elbows. I will be posting here about the final rewrite and the publishing process. Read additional excerpts from the book. Look over my shoulder---track progress, ask questions, provide feedback, call me names as you see fit.
A couple of amazing artists are working up potential cover images to somehow capture the surreal farce of the story. I'm not worried that they'll up with something good. What really worries me is trying to pick which one I'll use. Maybe they'll let me post the sketches on the blog and you can help.
When the rewrite is done (sometime in March), I'll design the camera ready art, publish the books, and then comes the fun part---sending rewards out to those of you daring enough to risk becoming a puff of smoke! (If this doesn't make sense, watch the video, Smoky.)
The funds raised by this project will be used to pay for the cover art, book manufacturing, and shipping. The more money raised, the more books I can print and the better quality can be built into book manufacturing and materials. So don't hold back if you see the project has reached its goal.
Remember, this story is dangerous to the American Way of Life. Be brave! Risk life and limb by visiting the blog and tasting the first two chapters. If you survive, come back here and select the level at which you will back this project. Choose wisely. Every pledge helps.
