Update for 2012 and what's in store for 2013
Hey Friends,
It has been a while. I apologize for not keeping up with my updates. It has been a hard year personally for me. I lost my mother in May. She was my best friend and that loss in my life has been great.
Because of this I neglected some of my duties. So here is the long overdue update!
In early 2012 we received a $10,000 grant from the Alaska Humanities Forum!
Two days before Christmas 2012 we found out that we received an $18,800 New York State Council on the Arts Grant!!!
This is so encouraging you have no idea.
The first grant was put to good use. I went back solo to Juneau/Hoonah in July for pick up shooting. I also hired Erin Greenwell as the editor of Hoonah's Heroes. Erin's film, My Best Day, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year! Erin got to work quickly creating a trailer, rough cut and website which was just completed yesterday!
The next grant is going to go for additional post production work including graphic design, illustration, animation, music composition, sound design and of course, more salary for the hard working editor.
Hopefully with a few more grants and generous donations we can complete this project in all it's glory with the year!
Below is the website. It still has a few kinks we are ironing out but at least you will get an idea of what we've been up to:

Again, if it wasn't for your donations, none of this would have happened.
Thank you and hope you have a kick ass 2013!
