Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my Kickstarter page. The idea behind The Business Card Project is not complicated - I want to design business cards for you at an affordable price. You will receive a beautiful piece of design, while I will develop an enhanced portfolio (and some help getting my business off the ground). I can also design calling cards for individuals. So you get a good deal, while I get to do what I love. We both win!

History Behind the Project

My full-time freelance career is in its infancy, and I am trying to build it from the ground up. It has been my dream for years, a dream that has gotten me through endless days in an office doing uninspiring tasks. I have finally taken the leap - and you can help me avoid becoming the dreaded "starving artist" by backing The Business Card Project.

About the Process

Once the project has ended, I will send each backer a short questionnaire about the business card that they would like me to design (no inappropriate subject matter though, please). I will create the cards in the same order that I receive the questionnaire responses. I can't give an exact date of completion because there is no way to predict how many people will back my project - but I can tell you that I am a very speedy worker! Once I have finished your design, I will email the JPG file to you. If you need a different file type, please indicate your format preferences in the space provided on your questionnaire. If you back a level that includes printing, I will still send that JPG to you so that you can check for any typos (I promise I'm a great proof-reader though!).

Please do read the pledge level descriptions carefully; not all levels include revisions or printing. However, all levels DO include a bit of (almost) free advertising.... I will post a list of all backers with links on my popular blog, Design Fixation.

FAQs

What if I don't need a business card?

You have two options. First, you could back my project using the "$5 or more" level (you can choose any dollar amount). You will receive lots of good karma for backing a project out of the goodness of your heart, as well as a bit of advertising on my blog. Or using the $25 level, I can design a calling card for you instead of a business card! Calling cards are great for meeting new people as well as searching for new jobs.

 

I would like multiple business card designs... is that possible?

Yes, just increase the amount of your pledge to cover the number of card designs you would like. For instance, if you want three one-sided card designs, select the $25 pledge and enter $75.

 

Do I own the business card design once it is finished?

Yes, you will own the rights to the business card. I will retain the right to post the design in my portfolio.
