For the past year, The Super Coda has provided music and performance for the raw and adventurous listeners of NYC.  We are a haven for artists who push the limit of what's both known and imagined in aural, visual, and human frequencies.

Avant-garde art suffers constant displacement in this city.  We have been incredibly lucky to have a home at all this past year.

And now our home is threatened.  In order to continue operating and working within the community, featuring established and up-and-coming performers, and opening our doors to earnest and visionary strangers who desire exposure and a venue to live out a dream or two or twenty-four, we must soundproof the space.  We are a not-for-profit arts organization, thus we must reach out to fulfill this demand.

But wait!  We are not simply soundproofing the space.  We are using the new addition as an opportunity to create a MURAL.  Artists in Bushwick and beyond will be invited to carve out a section of the new ceiling to realize their own artistic fantasies.  Therefore we are raising money to compensate these artists as well.  Above all, we believe in supporting the arts as a not only necessary for continued existence on this earth, but as a viable force in the global economy.  Creating a home where art can move freely, and generate exponentially, has never been as important as it is now.

We'll announce the artists in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned.

Once this project is completed, we will be presenting an enormously special opening performance at our newly adorned space.  It very well may be the grandest Super Coda yet, and a harbinger of exhilarating events to come.
